Alms according to the origin of the word is taken from Arabic,namely “shadaqah”derived from the word sidq (Sidiq).Alms is a practice that is loved by Allah SWT.Almsgiving is recommended at any time as long as we have space in terms of energy,thought and wealth.Moreover in this glorius month of ramadhan wich is full of blessings and mercy,we are encouraged and mercy,we are encouraged to increase our almsgiving to fellow humans.Almsgiving in the month of ramadhan has extraordinary privileges as narrated by freind Anas bin Malik RA:
عَنْ اَنَسٍ قِيْلَ يَارَسُولَ اللهِ اَيُّ الصَّدَقَةِ اَفْضَلُ؟ قَالَ: صَدَقَةٌ فِى رَمَضَانَ
“From Anas RA,a freind asked,O Rasulullah ,What is the most important charity?Rasulullah SAW answered ,Alms in the month of ramadhan.” (HR At-Tirmidzi).
