Eid Al-Adha is not just about the feast day, but about the meaning of sacrifice and obedience, kurban worship is a tangible manifestation of love for اللهُ سبحانه وتعالى , as exemplified by prophets Ibrahim عليه السلام and Ismail عليه السلام.
وَالۡبُدۡنَ جَعَلۡنٰهَا لَـكُمۡ مِّنۡ شَعَآٮِٕرِ اللّٰهِ لَـكُمۡ فِيۡهَا خَيۡرٌ ۖ فَاذۡكُرُوا اسۡمَ اللّٰهِ عَلَيۡهَا صَوَآفَّ ۚ فَاِذَا وَجَبَتۡ جُنُوۡبُهَا فَكُلُوۡا مِنۡهَا وَاَطۡعِمُوا الۡقَانِعَ وَالۡمُعۡتَـرَّ ؕ كَذٰلِكَ سَخَّرۡنٰهَا لَـكُمۡ لَعَلَّكُمۡ تَشۡكُرُوۡنَ
And the camels We have made for you part of the propagation of the religion of Allah, and you will find much good in them. So invoke the name of Allah (when you are about to slaughter it) while it is standing1 (and the legs are tied). Then when it lies down (dead), then eat some of it and feed those who are content with what they have (not begging) and those who ask. Thus have We subjected (the camels) for you, that you may be grateful.

Let’s revive the spirit of kurban this year, don’t wait to be able to afford it, but start with sincere intentions. because every kurban is a form of love, obedience and invaluable sadaqa.
