As we know, there are so many hadiths that tell us to continue to support orphans and feed orphans. One of the hadiths is:
عَنْ سَهْلِ بَْنِ سَعْدٍ رضي الله عنه قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولَ اَللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم : أَنَا وَكَافِلُ الْيَتِيمِ فِى الْجَنَّةِ هكَذَ، وَأَشَارَ بِالسَّبَّابَةِ وَالْوُسطَى وَفَرَّجَ بَيْنَهُمَا شَيْئاً
From Sahl bin Sa’ad (May Allah be pleased with him) he said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “I and the one who supports an orphan will be in Paradise like this.” Then he (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) gestured with his index finger and His middle finger (peace be upon him), and slightly apart. [Narrated by al-Bukhari, no. 4998 and 5659]
This great hadith demonstrates the great virtue and reward of those who provide for orphans, so much so that Imam al-Bukhari (may Allah have mercy on him) included it in the chapter: “The Virtues of Those Who Care for Orphans.”
